Hi! I’m Kali, a Product & Experience Designer

From mobile apps to virtual worlds, I design for that first encounter with something new

XR Experience Design

This is where my visual art background and my design work meet. Each of these projects uses AR or VR to change how people experience art and meaning, whether that's layering a hidden story over a painting, arranging a virtual still life to feel the symbolism inside it, or stepping into a quiet space made for reflection. I'm drawn to what immersive media can do that a screen can't, and to making those experiences feel natural the first time someone tries them.

Product Design

My digital product design work is shaped by years of experience designing physical products for real, everyday people. Across these projects I keep coming back to one question: how do you make something complex or unfamiliar feel easy to trust? Whether it's helping someone navigate the subway with confidence, buy from a live stream without second-guessing, or make sense of their own health data, I start with research and work toward decisions that serve both the person using the product and the business behind it.

Not Your Typical Designer

I'm a product and experience designer with an unusual background that shapes how I work.

My work spans two areas: UX and product design for digital experiences, and immersive design for VR and spatial environments. Whether I'm designing a mobile app or a VR experience, the core challenge is the same: helping people understand and trust something they have never used before. I'm currently earning my MS in Information Experience Design at Pratt Institute and interning with the Immersive XR Programming team at Lincoln Center.

Before that, I went to art school, then spent over a decade as a fashion product designer for brands like Cole Haan, Tommy Hilfiger, Levi's, and Karl Lagerfeld. That work taught me to design for real people, to read research and sales data, and to balance innovation with familiarity so new ideas feel approachable. It's a product and user lens I bring to everything I design now.
